Ranking July 2017's Movies From Worst To Best

10. Girls Trip

RottenTomatoes Score: 88% (7.0/10)

Box Office: Produced for $27.7 million, Girls Trip soared above expectations in its opening weekend and served up the biggest opening of director Malcolm D. Lee's career.

Its budget has already been effortlessly recouped, and don't be surprised if this one easily triples or even quadruples its cost over the next few weeks.

Verdict: Though it's easy to dismiss this film as another lame attempt to copy The Hangover's formula, Girls Trip is in fact a surprisingly hilarious R-rated romp that's boosted hugely by its game quartet of leading ladies.

It's certainly a little too long at 122 minutes, but as a potty-mouthed celebration of sisterhood that's got a surprising amount of heft, this is far from the low-effort comedy many likely expected.
