Verdict: Speaking of Netflix surprises, no streaming release this month was as unexpectedly terrific as this low-budget directorial debut from Matt Palmer.
The less you know about it going in the better, but be sure that this tale of a hunting trip in the Scottish Highlands gone wrong is utterly dripping with suspense throughout.
Persuasively performed by a strong ensemble cast, best of all Jack Lowden, there are several sequences in this movie sure to have audiences squirming with discomfort, even while it takes a fairly restrained approach to violence.
This is a razor-sharp, character-driven, white-knuckle thriller that makes fantastically economic use of its few resources.
