Ranking June 2018's Movies From Worst To Best

9. Ocean's 8

RottenTomatoes Score: 67% (6.2/10)

Box Office: Thanks to a vaguely sensible $70 million budget, this female-led ensemble heist spin-off avoided suffering the same fate as the hilariously over-budgeted 2016 Ghostbusters reboot, and is close to tripling its budget worldwide.

Basically, expect Ocean's 9 within the next two or three years.

Verdict: A totally acceptable heist romp that you won't remember within days of watching it, Ocean's 8 is basically propped up by its appealing ensemble cast, while the script and direction feel positively by-the-numbers.

Steven Soderbergh's presence is sorely missed here, but with such a cavalcade of charming actresses, this still qualifies as easy, undemanding viewing that probably won't annoy or offend you.

And for those who care, no, it doesn't "ruin" the previous movies.
