Ranking November 2015’s Movies From Worst To Best

6. Entertainment

RottenTomatoes Score: 84% (7.1/10) Box Office: With a limited 8-cinema release combined with a VOD bow, this one was never going to do much business, but even so, it's pulled in just $19,945 from cinemas, ensuring it's unlikely to be profitable, even though the budget is evidently tiny. Verdict: Rick Alverson's (The Comedy) latest may repeat many themes of his previous film, but it's a transfixing work that's difficult to look away from, even if it's inevitably not for all tastes, and its unsavoury protagonist will surely turn many off. That said, lead Gregg Turkington gives a terrific performance as the downtrodden comedian protagonist, and Alverson's direction is nothing if not singular. Brief appearances by John C. Reilly and Michael Cera also make for memorable diversions.
