RottenTomatoes Score: 77% (6.5/10) Box Office: Pixar films have a history of insane legs, grossing well for weeks and weeks and weeks, even months, eventually posting tremendous financial success. The $175-200 million The Good Dinosaur pulled in $56 million its first five days on release, which is fairly soft for a Pixar film and slightly below projections, though it'll effortlessly prove profitable in the long run, if not being one of the studio's bigger successes. Verdict: If probably one of Pixar's worst films, it's still a beautifully-made, tender and entertaining animated film, driven forward by some truly state-of-the-art environmental renderings and Pixar's usual deference towards mature themes. Sure, it's also broader than their usual works and not nearly as imaginative, but given how troubled the production was, it's simply impressive that the final result seems so coherent.
