Box Office: Budgetary data isn't available, but the evidently low-budget Nicolas Cage horror flick has grossed $1.3 million from the speciality box office, and likely several-times that on VOD platforms worldwide.

U.S. distributor RLJ Entertainment even noted surprise at the film's theatrical success, deciding to keep it in cinemas until November following unexpected demand. Nobody's getting rich off this, but given the obviously small budget it's clearly a success.

Verdict: Nicolas Cage gives one of the best and boldest performances of his career in this surreal, slow-burn revenge thriller, which while perhaps a little too methodical for its own good, serves up an utterly demented second half as Cage goes full Cage.

With eye-watering visuals, a fantastic ensemble cast, an impeccable Jóhann Jóhannsson score and heaps of grisly gore, it's a fantastic compromise between art-house restraint and B-movie schlock.
