Razzies 2020: 10 Nominees That Make No Sense

The Razzies occasionally introduce a random "comedy" category that typically allows them to nominate movies which were, you know, actually good.

This year that award is for "Worst Reckless Disregard for Human Life and Public Property," and in addition to nominating actual not-good movies like The Haunting of Sharon Tate, Hellboy, and Rambo: Last Blood, Razzie voters also nominated the terrific Joker and Dragged Across Concrete.

It feels as though voters just wanted to nominate Joker for the enormous social media publicity it would generate, and then shaped a dubious awards category around it.

Dragged Across Concrete is an even weirder pick, though, both because of its low-budget nature and the fact that there's not that much carnage in it.

Michael Bay's 6 Underground is clearly a far worthier nominee than either of those films, given how much obvious human collateral damage is racked up amid the chaotic action sequences, and given how the Vera Farmiga twist in Godzilla: King of the Monsters played out, that also makes way more sense.
