Recasting X-Men: 14 Actors Who Need To Replace Singer's Mutants

2. Tom Hardy - Wolverine

And now we have by far the most challenging casting choice of the lot. Hugh Jackman has played Wolverine for almost two decades and it's incredibly difficult to imagine anyone living up to his note-perfect rendition of the character.

It's been hinted by X-Men producers that they may give the character a rest after Logan comes out unless they can somehow convince Jackman to return (with a dumptruck full of cash, no doubt), but when it inevitably comes time to reintroduce him, who the hell better than Tom Hardy?

Hardy has the immense physicality needed to sell the role, he's a hell of an actor and he can he charming and funny when need be. He's about as safe and democratic a casting choice as possible, and this is also the casting choice on this list that's the most likely to actually happen.
