5. Forgettable- Made
There are a lot of things that worked in Jon Faverau's low budget mob comedy Made, but sadly, Sam Rockwell was not one of them and his small but awkward performance as a SoHo hotel manager. The majority of his scenes with co-stars Vince Vaughn and Faverau seem to be improvised, and Rockwell as a dainty and effeminate hotel manager just seems lost in finding a foothold for his character. In one particular scene, after checking in on his guests during a hotel party gone sour, Vaughn's character ends up throwing a mini-bar bottle of booze in Rockwell's face for intruding on their shindig. The scene goes from funny to incredibly uncomfortable very fast. Rockwell seems half asleep in most of his scenes, and just does not look at ease in his character's skin. He appeared uncredited in this movie, which might lead some to believe he wanted to forget about his performance as much as we did.
