4. Lieutenant Lenina Huxley - Demolition Man (1993)
Before people freak out, let me say that I love this movie. Stallone knocks it out of the park, Wesley Snipes is hilarious and the premise of the movie is actually really cool. Denis Leary is also bang on in this flick as well. However, Bullock - still in her Frumpy stage - plays an awkwardly robotic character who is in love with Stallone's badass character John Spartan. It sucks. The plot of the movie is that Wesley Snipe's character, Simon Phoenix, is an outlaw in a dystopian 1996, and it's up to LAPD John Spartan to stop him. Unfortunately, Spartan ends up letting innocent people die while capturing Phoenix, so they both are put in suspended animation for their jail sentence. During this time they are taught to be noble, behaving citizens of earth. They are both thawed out in the year 2032 and the hunt continues. But what's this? Phoenix has been given strange powers by the man who invented Cryptojail. It's a pretty hilarious plot and the utopian future of 2032 adds to this comedy. There are some pretty kick-ass action sequences and everyone learns a valuable lesson. What was I talking about? Oh, yeah: how terrible Sandra Bullock is. Bullock plays a future police officer generally in charge of keeping the peace. There is little to no crime in the future, but Bullock's character - for whatever reason - is obsessed with 20th century culture and can't wait to get her hands on Stallone. She is bland and annoying and although this was her first big break, it's no surprise that she was nominated for a Razzie.
