8. Gladys' Just Desserts - Weapons
Zach Cregger's incredible Weapons is basically two hours of sustained WTF moments, and yet Cregger manages to save the most off-the-wall one for the very end.
Aunt Gladys (Amy Madigan), the decrepit witch who has spent the movie terrorising the town of Maybrook with her enchantments, finally has the tables turned when her "nephew" Alex (Cary Christopher) takes a strand of hair from her wig and casts his own enchantment.
This prompts the 17 missing children under Gladys' control to suddenly be weaponised against her, immediately racing to her position and causing a panicked Gladys to make a mad dash through the neighbourhood.
The hilariously absurd sequence, which sees the kids diving through windows and anything else that stands between them and Gladys, culminates in them tackling the witch to the floor and tearing her apart.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer person, honestly. And though Gladys' demise finally frees the children from her control, the ending remains agonisingly ambiguous as to whether all of the kids will actually return to normal.
