Sin City: A Dame To Kill For - 15 Easter Eggs & References You Must See
8. Art Imitates Reality In A Dame To Kill For, Eva Green and Marton Csokas play a married couple, though estranged enough that Green's wife plans to use Dwight to kill her husband in order to control his mafia concerns and make herself undisputedly powerful. As a real life Easter Egg reference, the pair were in a relationship for real between 2005 and 2009 - it remains to be confirmed whether either attempted to get the other one killed during the period. This is also of course the second film adaptation of a Frank Miller graphic novel to star Green, as she played Artemisia in 300: Rise of an Empire, adapted from Miller's Xerxes. There's also a familial link in the film for director Robert Rodriguez, as is somewhat typical of one of his productions. His sister Rebecca Rodriguez - who seems to pick up a job on most of his films in one way or another, having starred, cameoed, produced, edited and composed on a good few of her brother's films - picks up another credit for the soundtrack. She had previously written songs for Spy Kids 3D, and Planet Terror, and graduates to a writing and performing role for A Dame To Kill For with the original song "I'm Lonely."
