Ever since Solo was first announced, there has been rampant speculation that the movie would pull a classic prequel tactic of overtly demystifying aspects of Star Wars lore that fans don't really want the veil lifted on, namely the origins of Han Solo's name.

Are we getting a ham-fisted explanation for where Han Solo got his iconic moniker?

Prediction: Probably, yes, and it'll likely be one of the movie's most complained-about moments unless the film has an incredibly clever and creative answer up its sleeve.

Many reviews have already noted that the film answers questions fans never needed to know the answers to, so if the entire movie comes and goes with Han Solo merely being Han Solo, it would be a pretty big surprise (and a pleasant one at that).
