Spectre: 10 Awesome Things We Learned About Bond 24
4. The Shooting Period Is Considerably Longer Than Before
Skyfall's shooting schedule was meant to take 133 days, but impressively was finished early, taking only 128 days (that sort of performance rarely happens on big budget movies like this). Even in Spectre finishes its production earlier, however, it'll still take much longer - Mendes revealed that the filming for Bond 24 is going to be seven months, three months more than the previous movie. The number of locations kinda requires more time, while higher expectations (Skyfall followed one of the franchise's worst movies, Spectre follows its best) no doubt has led to a further reaching scope and visuals. The worriers amongst you may have noticed that production on Spectre is going to begin only eleven months before its scheduled release date, with seven of those dedicated to shooting. While that means there's a tighter post-production period, it really only suggests there's going to be a distinct lack of CGI shots in the movie, which is always a good thing.
