For quite some time now, we've all fantastised about the idea of Marvel introducing the multiverse. If you've read the comics - or seen some of DC's Arrowverse programming - you'll know that this will enable the MCU to explore alternate versions of some of its most iconic heroes.

According to one rumour - reported by Cosmic Book News - Tom Holland's wall-crawler will cross paths with both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Men, bringing all of them together in one big collective multiverse for what it referred to as a Spider-Man Secret Wars.

Spider-Man: Far From Home toyed with our emotions by centering its entire marketing campaign around the existence of the multiverse only to pull a bait-and-switch by revealing that it was all one of Mysterio's tricks. But with the MCU breaking new ground - and the impending arrival of Dr. Strange In The Multiverse of Madness - the concept's debut is imminent.

If we do have the three live-action Spider-Men crossing over, that would be revolutionary as, much like we saw with DC's Crisis On Infinite Earths, it could end up tying the MCU to previous Marvel projects.
