6. Does The Multiverse Still Exist?

As many fans predicted, it turns out that Mysterio's origin story is total bunk: neither he nor the Elementals in fact emerged from the multiverse, and it was simply a smoke-screen to allow the supervillain to hatch his true plan.

But this twist creates a little confusion, as it's now unclear whether or not the MCU is going to have a multiverse moving forward or not.

The Likely Answer: The events of Endgame would certainly seem to imply that a multiverse does exist regardless of Beck's deception, though that doesn't necessarily mean we're going to see much if any of it in the mainline MCU from this point forward.

Alternatively, Far From Home may have served a more subtle purpose, to acquaint more casual audiences with the idea of overlapping universes interacting with one another, so that it can be fully exploited in a future movie.

Given the mind-melting potential of the MCU multiverse, it'd certainly be surprising if that entire thread was sewn up following this movie, but it'll also require some extremely delicate handling not to devolve into a pure mess.
