Spider-Man: Far From Home - 5 Reasons Why The Twist Ending Was A Great Idea (And 5 It Wasn't)

2. Not Great: It Further Diminishes Peter's Claims Of Responsibility

Peter Parker is famous for his mantra of 'with great power must also come great responsibility', yet his MCU self hasn't exactly proved that he can consistently live up to the 'responsibility' part of this ethos.

In Civil War he blindly followed Tony into a fight with Captain America, in Homecoming Happy straight up says to Spidey that "that doesn't sound responsible" when Peter loses his backpack and in Far From Home he almost killed a classmate with a drone strike and then gave control of Stark's weapon systems to an unstable villain.

That's not to say that Peter is completely irresponsible, but these choices and his leaving Mysterio's associates out in the wild (only for them to leak his identity to the public) only serve to make his claims of being responsible even less believable.
