Spider-Man: Far From Home - 5 Reasons Why The Twist Ending Was A Great Idea (And 5 It Wasn't)

1. Not Great: Takes Away One Of The Character's Most Interesting Elements

The main way in which the MCU differs from Marvel's comics is its lack of care for secret identities, with almost all of the superheroes in the cinematic universe having their true names being known by the public as a whole.

The main exception to that rule is (or was) Spider-Man, the fact that only a select few knew who was under the mask making any unmasking or deduction of his identity a fun raising of the stakes - the scene that saw the Vulture figure it out being one of the most tense and interesting in all of the MCU, for example.

Thus, stripping the character of this element is rather silly - and hopefully it will only be a thing for one more Spider-Man movie at the very most, as it really is one of the character's most interesting elements.
