Spider-Man: Far From Home - Every Character Ranked Worst To Best
5. Ned Leeds
Ned Leeds is pretty much Spider-Man's version of Luis from Ant-Man - a charming, very funny supporting presence to the main hero who balances his more serious plot requirements and establishes a dynamic that makes them both funnier.
In the sequel, Ned is pushed even more into that role. He's obviously smart, but he's the character in this film with the most ties back to the John Hughes influences of the original because he's essentially a horny geek determined to ignore his limitations and plot a romantic course across Europe.
Rather ingeniously, the traditional trope would be to have him fail in his quest, but Ned clears the bar immediately, getting himself essentially married on the plane to Betty, which gives us a whole new side to Ned's character that is even more funny and adorable. As well as a little tragic. But that's always the best blend.
