Spider-Man: Homecoming - 10 Major Ways Spidey Will Be Different

3. No Daily Bugle Job

In Previous Films

While most Spider-Man movie fans will remember JK Simmons' power-house performance as J Jonah Jameson as the biggest part of the Daily Bugle's presence so far, the paper also appeared with less pomp in Marc Webb's films.

In both film series so far, Peter gets his traditional job selling photographs of Spider-Man to the paper.

In Homecoming

Again, Peter's a schoolboy, and there's no suggestion at all that he's going to be selling photos to the Bugle. Given that the film will deal with his struggles to balance his schoolwork and his hero work, adding another distraction would be foolish (and it would give Peter too much of an easy out to ease his load).

It's inevitable that we'll see the Bugle and Jameson again in the future, but while Marvel are still looking for difference, they'll resist pulling the trigger too early.
