10. It Might Link To Sony's Spidey-Verse

The Rumour

Despite the initially firm denouncement of the link between the MCU and Sony's spun-off Spidey-Verse, recent talk has called the Venom and Black & Silver Sony movies "adjuncts" of the MCU. Quite what that means remains to be seen, but it seems to suggest that the films are linked in a distant cousins sort of way.

That is unless you believe Kevin Feige, who keeps reiterating that there's no link, even as his colleagues seemingly spill the beans (or mess up, depending on what you believe).

Your guess is as good as anyone's. The conflicting news from everyone but Kevin Feige seems to suggest he's the only one certain of anything, and even then, if Sony and Marvel sniff a lucrative deal

At the minute, it's probably safe to say there aren't any conscious links, but that doesn't mean we won't see details established in this film spun-off (like The Prowler, for instance) as Sony movies.
