12. Vulture Has All The Power

One of the most interesting things coming away from Homecoming is that not only does Adrian Toomes survive the movie, but he's left in jail with full awareness of Spider-Man's identity, which he curiously decides not to divulge to Mac Gargan, who had heard rumours of Toomes' knowledge.

There are a few schools of thought here, that Toomes perhaps isn't revealing Peter's identity because Peter saved his life, or more likely, that Toomes doesn't want any random hotshot depriving him of his revenge.

This would be an interesting way to make Vulture the leader of the Sinister Six: he can start amassing a team of supervillains, while withholding Spidey's identity in order to retain leverage and ensure the rest of the team falls in line.

If Marvel Studios is smart, they would make it mirror Nick Fury's own efforts to assemble The Avengers, because who doesn't love a little dramatic symmetry?
