24. The Airport Battle

When the first trailer showed off footage of Peter watching the climactic airport battle from Captain America: Civil War some questions were asked about how it was even possible, since there clearly wasn't a Youtuber standing by filming.

The International trailer fills in some of the gaps, confirming that Peter himself was filming, leading to some self-shot footage of him fanboying out before his big Underoos! moment. It's a great little sequence (and it's a shame we saw this before the final film, to be honest)...

But at least it means we get that sequence from another few angles. Even if the suggestion that Peter stopped fighting to film and talk to the camera is a little silly. Let's just allow it, okay?

And then there's also a shot of him after the fight, in the hotel that Tony Stark clearly put him up in, once again marking out at what's just happened. There's very much a sense that he's just a kid, enjoying himself in unbelievable circumstances.

Happy Hogan is here too, possibly in his capacity as Peter's minder, and complaining about the thinness of the walls. This whole sequence would have worked nicely as a stand-alone prologue like Taika Waititi's Thor short films...
