4. Has The Entire Universe Really Forgotten Peter?

No Way Home devastatingly ends with Doctor Strange fixing the multiverse by making everyone forget who Peter Parker is. Though it's made incredibly clear that nobody on Earth knows who Peter is, does the spell actually extend to the entire universe?

After all, the film makes a point to explain to Peter that Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) has been off-world for a year, which could be setting up the possibility that the spell's field of influence didn't extend beyond Earth.

Given that Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), and the Guardians of the Galaxy were all presumably away at the time as well, if the spell is limited to Earth then they would also all remember who Peter is.

That said, for what the film is trying to achieve story-wise - basically giving the character a sans-Avengers soft-reboot for a new trilogy of movies - it would make sense that the spell did indeed apply universally.

Given that the goal of the spell is to stop the multiverse from spilling into this universe, it's more likely that it does indeed apply to everyone.

If they start tinkering around with who does and doesn't remember Peter it has the potential to get incredibly messy and confusing, so the simplest answer is likely the right one here.

That's not to say they won't fudge a way for MJ to remember Peter in a future film, but for now it seems like the entire universe has indeed forgotten him, space and all.
