Spider-Man: No Way Home - Both Post-Credits Scenes Explained

6. Venom Knows Peter Parker Is Spider-Man

Of course, Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock had, like the rest of the MCU, seen the big Jameson reveal that Peter Parker was the person swinging through New York City and beyond as Spider-Man.

Prior to that, though, Venom must've already known that there's not only a Spider-Man in his world, but that said Wall-crawler's real identity is Peter Parker. After all, the whole reason that the alt-world characters of No Way Home are dragged into the regular MCU landscape is because they all know who Spidey really is.

Given how the post-credits of Venom: Let There Be Carnage saw the Lethal Protector proclaim "That guy!" and lick the TV screen when Tom Holland's Peter was shown on TV, it seems that Venom knows something.

That Venom sequel saw the symbiote inform Eddie of a hive mind setup where the alien creature and its kin are able to share memories and experiences spanning billions of years and multiple universes. So, while Eddie Brock may not have had any idea of a Peter Parker/Spider-Man in his world, Venom has knowledge of at least some incarnation of ol' Web-head.

Regardless of Venom knowing who Spider-Man is, he strangely has no idea who The Avengers are - as shown when the bartender breaks down Earth's Mightiest Heroes for Brock.
