Spider-Man: No Way Home - Both Post-Credits Scenes Explained

4. Peter Parker's Hard Reset To Drive Him Towards The Symbiote?

Just when you think Peter Parker had already been put through the wringer enough in his previous MCU outings, Spider-Man: No Way Home went and took everything from Parker.

By the time No Way Home rolled to a close, Peter had lost his family, his girlfriend and his friends, as Aunt May is dead and nobody else in the entire world knows who Peter Parker is. Even when Tom Holland's character goes to speak to the mindwiped MJ, he opts against telling her what happened for he realises that MJ's life is far safer with him not in it. Likewise, Peter also finds a Ned who is living a content, carefree life that doesn't throw him into life or death situations.

This is Peter Parker as on his own as he's ever been in any live-action setting to date, and maybe it comes to be that his internal angst and torment push him towards the small blob of symbiote goo left behind by Venom.

Spider-Man: No Way Home certainly showcased a new layer of darkness at times for this version of the Wall-crawler, with him prepared to kill Norman Osborn during the film's climactic battle. Now that we know this side of Peter exists, it seems the wheels are in motion to see him bond with the symbiote somewhere down the line - and we all know what issues that brings with it.
