4. Full Access To A Superior Intellect

So there's this genetically engineered super-human named Khan, and Captain Kirk and the crew of the Enterprise decide it's a great idea to revive him after being asleep for 300 years. That doesn't sound too unreasonable, does it? Think again. It's not so much about questioning Kirk's thought process for thawing out this superior intellect, it's more about the execution. Case in point, if you knew that you had someone on board your ship who had been apart of leading mass genocides on Earth of the past, why would you up and grant him full access to the ship's technical manuals and other key pieces of information? Let alone offer him alcohol, and allow him to more than fraternize with a crew member. That's not hospitality, that's stupidity! Would it have been too much to ask for Kirk to enforce tighter security protocols until they were able to drop Khan and his crew off somewhere, like a remote planet perhaps? Sure, there's more blame to go around for Khan and his 72 supermen and woman taking over the Enterprise temporarily, but overall, ole Jim Kirk could have handled this ordeal a little more methodically from the beginning.
