6. Joe Dempsie

Who Is He? Last seen rowing a boat in Game Of Thrones, Joe Dempsie is another veteran of UK TV series Skins. He is a very likeable actor. He is handsome, ripped, and perfectly at home with beefy scripts and big productions. The camera loves him, and so do we. Why He's Great For Solo: Basically, Dempsie has made his name thus far in TV land. In Skins, he played Chris Miles. Here was a character who was loveably goofy, and yet earnest and capable of being very sweet. Take that, and mix it with Gendry in Game Of Thrones. In this behemoth TV series, Dempsie gave a character with depth, pluckiness and a gnarly edge. Such was his contribution, that his is one of the most sorely missed and unfinished subplots in the entire series thus far. So, he's watchable, likeable and tough. Stick him in a Galaxy Far Far Away. He won't disappoint. On The Other Hand... Even though he's talented and people like him, Dempsie has yet to prove his worth on the big screen. Solo is a huge role and unlike introducing new characters, you need someone who can get away with being the young version of nothing less than a cinematic icon. It's hard to tell if he's up to the task.
