Why He Could Fix It: Lawrence Kasdan is, of course, a legend of the Star Wars franchise, having co-written the screenplays for not only The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, but also the Han Solo movie itself.

One of the big problems Kasdan reportedly had with Lord and Miller was their frequent deviations from his script, so who better than the writer himself to treat it as gospel? He's clearly on the same page as Kennedy, which will definitely help his chances.

How Likely Is It?: Kasdan is reportedly on the shortlist of three directors likely to finish the movie, but considering that his recent directorial efforts have been both terrible and a million miles away from a film like this (Dreamcatcher and Darling Companion), a certain risk comes with him working behind the camera.
