One of the other most rumoured characters a standalone movie could focus on is the wise, 900 year old Jedi Master who has an affinity for speaking backwards. Needless to say, Yoda is a very popular Star Wars character that nearly everyone knows and recognizes on the spot due to his unique design, abilities and being a character many viewers can directly learn from. Out of many of the known characters as well, hes one of the few who could engage an audience for a full length feature film all on his own. The film would obviously take place in the past as Yoda passed away in Return of the Jedi, but when exactly it would take place during Yodas Jedi career is anyones guess. There is a vast amount of potential for a Yoda film as much of his past is shrouded in mystery; after all, 900 years is an extremely long time span which gives Gareth Edwards or Josh Trask a lot of room to explore. Yodas film could examine his padawan days or the shaping of the Jedi Order or Republic into what it was in the Prequel Trilogy or even his exile on Dagobah, putting focus on his role during these significant events. There is, however, a great amount of trepidation with tackling a character as big as Yoda, but it would be difficult for any fan to deny interest in exploring his younger days and beginnings as one of the most powerful Jedis in the galaxy.
