Star Wars: 9 Things We Could See In Episode IX

There was a time when it seemed inevitable that Rey and Finn would end up together. This may still happen, but given Finn shared a random kiss with Rose following their joint exploits throughout The Last Jedi it would seem Rey and Finn are going their separate ways.

Coupled with Poe and Rey sharing a rather belated moment on screen (which given Oscar Isaac's minimal screen time in the previous film makes sense) there could be a new couple of couples in the offing.

Poe and Rey's moment together was only fleeting, but there seemed to be some chemistry between them and a mutual respect for each other's work in the fight against the First Order.

The likelihood of Poe and Rey having much screen time together in the next film is small given Rey's involvement with Jedi training and general force stuff, but would certainly add another aspect to both characters. It will certainly be interesting to see Finn's reaction to this development should it happen.
