9. The Falcon Will Be Destroyed

There are few pieces of Star Wars iconography more recognisable and beloved than the Millennium Falcon. The hunk of junk has been a key part of the franchise since the first film back in 1977, and it's every bit as important now as it was then, with the ship housing what's left of the Resistance at the end of The Last Jedi.

With Episode IX being the end of the Skywalker Saga, however, then that would mean ending a number of the recognisable elements from across the series, which started in The Last Jedi with the destruction of the Skywalker lightsaber (although it could be fixed).

The Falcon has almost always been a piece a piece of garbage that somehow keeps on going through all the wars, and it'll surely feature prominently in the battles to come too. But if you're going to end the Saga, and have it be the end of Luke, Leia, et al, then destroying the Falcon in one last blaze of glory would be quite fitting with that, as a popular theory suggests.
