It's no secret that a lot of Star Wars fans were displeased with The Last Jedi, which has led to a lot of Episode IX theories involving some sort of retconning of Episode VIII's many developments.

But this one takes the whole thing one (absurd) step further, by positing that The Last Jedi was one big hallucination... Finn's hallucination.

Redditor another1withtheforce states that Finn is a Jedi, using evidence like his skill with a lightsaber and his connection with Rey as proof. And because of this, he has Force powers too, which means he's capable of having a lengthy, in-depth Force vision - the entirety of The Last Jedi.

Why It's Outlandish: You know what should be a hallucination? This theory. Episode IX might undo some things The Last Jedi did, but all of it? Not a chance in hell.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
