4. The Return Of The Knights Of Ren

Blink and you'd miss it, but the scene where Kylo is cleaving straight through a platoon of soldiers, whilst being joined by First Order troops? It looks like he's fighting the Knights of Ren.

Introduced in The Force Awakens during Rey's Force Vision, this lot were a number of specialist soldiers who operated in between Episode VI and VII, only to be lead by Kylo Ren after he destroyed Luke's training grounds and defected.

Understandably, it was assumed they'd play a major role in The Last Jedi, but besides Snoke reiterating that Kylo is the "Master of the Knights of Ren" in one scene, they didn't show up whatsoever.

Back to Episode IX, and that one individual Kylo charges straight into looks to have a custom weapon very similar to what's shown in The Force Awakens, or that movie's Visual Dictionary.

You'll have to delve into leaked script territory to ruminate further on the Knights' potential role, but just from this visual alone, it seems J.J. wants to follow up on the seed he planted four years ago.
