Star Wars: Ranking The Future Lucasfilm Projects From Least To Most Promising
3. The Book Of Boba Fett
The reason The Book Of Boba Fett was not officially announced alongside the other shows that were unveiled at the Investor Day was because Jon Favreau did not want to spoil the surprise ahead of the season two finale of The Mandalorian. But when the show was finally revealed to the world, fans were understandably excited to learn that another original Star Wars character was getting their own show.
Favreau confirmed after the show's announcement that it would be another spin-off show from The Mandalorian and would have both Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen reprising their roles as Boba Fett and Fennec Shand. He also announced that he would be serving as executive producer, alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni and Robert Rodriguez.
The premise of the show is still unknown, but if the season two finale of The Mandalorian is anything to go by, then it could be about Boba’s attempt to establish control of Tatooine with Shand. Hopefully the show can finally give some much needed personality to Boba and allow fans to relate to him better.
The Book Of Boba Fett is set to premiere in December of this year.
