Star Wars: Ranking The Future Lucasfilm Projects From Least To Most Promising

10. Andor

The Mandalorian Boba Fett
Lucasfilm

In stark contrast to Rogue Squadron, there is significantly more information for us to go on when it comes to the show Andor, set to release on Disney+ sometime in 2022.

Rumours about a live-action spy-thriller series starring Cassian Andor, Diego Luna’s character from the film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, began before the film was even released back in 2016. Luna himself was not sure the plans were real or would ever go ahead, but a few days before the Investor Day announcements, Luna confirmed that filming on the show had started in London.

Luna will reprise his role as Cassian Andor, as will Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma. They will be joined by a fantastic new cast that includes Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough and Kyle Soller. Alan Tudyk confirmed he would be returning as K-2SO, but not in the first season - which also meant he had unintentionally confirmed that the show has plans for multiple seasons.

The only downside to all of this is the uncertainty of Star Wars fans' enthusiasm for the show. Time will tell whether or not Andor will be able to win fans over.
