1. Will The Main Characters Survive?
As far as anyone knows at the moment, Rogue One is full of characters who arent that significant to the sprawling Star Wars saga as a whole. Theyll play their part in stealing the Death Stars plans, but beyond that the destiny of these characters is utterly unknown. Which begs the question will they all survive the movie? Indeed, introducing a bunch of new characters that werent seen in A New Hope or any of the films since presents Lucasfilm with an opportunity to raise the stakes. As no-one knows the fate of any of these characters, theres every chance that the writers could choose to kill them. A few deaths would help highlight how difficult it is to bring down the Empire, as well. Sure, some of these characters might build a legacy in years to come through sequels and spin-offs. Not all of them can, though. Surely a few of them will be shot down by Stormtroopers or choked out by Darth Vader. The Empire's brutality shouldnt be shied away from here. Some Rogue One heroes might die to provide motivation for others, then, while some might be built into more important characters as the Star Wars mega-franchise marches forward.
