Star Wars: Rogue One - 10 Things That Will Happen

Rogue One will have a lot going on, mostly with the introduction of all new characters. As a stand alone story, fans will witness a first Star Wars flashback to open up the film. The events of the story will show a young Jyn Erso witnessing Orson Krennic taking her father away from their family to work on a secret Imperial project.

This flashback will set the tone for Jyn and her quest to reunite with her father. Even though the main plot of the film will be about the theft of the Death Star plans, the flashback will set up Jyn's personal motivations. She will be driven by a personal vendetta before adopting the Rebel cause.

It's very possible Jyn starts out her journey for selfish reasons. She's most likely looking to save her father from the grasp of the Empire when he will be killed at the hands of either Krennic or Darth Vader. Jyn's resolve to stop the Empire will grow even stronger. She will make it a personal mission to stop their weapon of destruction and stand up to the Imperial tyranny that has ruined her life.
