A lot's been made by the cast and crew of how Tudyk's converted Empire droid is a rather surly, counter-Threepio presence, and we really see that in the trailer. Just look at how he introduces himself to Jyn; "The captain says you are a friend. I will not kill you." Even better is her response, an incredulous "thanks".

Love the height difference here - it's threatening and comedic at the same time - and highlights the difficulty of Tudyk's job; the shot is even more impressive when you consider Jones is staring into thing air.
