7. Is Captain Phasma Definitely Dead?

The Question: Captain Phasma fans everywhere let out a groan when the bada** villain once again got the short shrift, losing a quick fight against Finn and seemingly falling to her death into a giant fireball.

This being a Disney film, and moreover a Star Wars film, though, is she definitely dead?

The Likely Answer: Dead as a doornail, sadly. Though you can argue that Phasma's suit might have afforded her some protection from the heat, there's just no way it could believably protect her from that much fire.

Yes, nobody really dies unless they die on-screen, but seeing Phasma fall a huge distance into a wall of fire was about as conclusive as you're going to get. She's not coming back.
