8. Phasma Gets Screwed Again

Now, the old saying goes that Star Wars rhymes, but it surely wasn't the best idea to rhyme one of the biggest mistakes from the original trilogy and give Captain Phasma the Boba Fett treatment?

After being shown up in The Force Awakens, the cloaked chrome trooper takes her time to return in The Last Jedi and gets what feels like even less screen-time in the sequel. As with Fett, the writers here seem to be relying on Phasma's look and the spectre of her mythology to shine in place of actual character development or even action.

So if you didn't bother to read up on her excellent backstory (you should), all you get of her is a false threat based solely on the fact that she looks cool and has some history with Finn. And almost as soon as she appears she's beaten in single combat by a guy who used to mop the Star Killer base by his own admission.

She deserved a lot better.
