Star Wars: The Last Jedi - 7 Spoilers That Have Already Been Revealed

6. Finn And Rose's Mission

The Information: The Last Jedi will find Finn (John Boyega) teaming up with series newcomer Rose (Kelly Marie Tran) on a covert mission to recruit shady hacker DJ (Benicio Del Toro) to the Resistance's cause.

This sequence is set in the casino city of Canto Bight - a new addition to the Star Wars universe - which is where DJ is currently holed up.

Why It's A Spoiler: There are numerous pieces of information here.

We now know that Finn and Rose will develop a close relationship, which could lead to a romance as the movie progresses. We also know what their primary objective is (at least initially) which is something that could have remained a secret had the marketing team just revealed the DJ character, without mentioning who was sent to get him.

Also, the Resistance needs a hacker - so we can expect them to be breaking into a secure facility at some point, or overriding a tough enemy ship/machine.

This information might also reveal that Finn makes a swift recovery from his injuries (sustained at the end of The Force Awakens).

This mission seems like a first-act kind of thing - why would Lucasfilm reveal a third-act plot thread - something that kick-starts the character's adventure. If that's the case, he'll have to be on his feet rather quickly once the movie picks up.
