Star Wars: The Last Jedi - 8 Big Questions We Have After The Trailer
1. Does Kylo Ren Leave Snoke To Train Rey?
That same scene also has potentially huge ramifications for Kylo Ren.
Throughout the trailer, he look incredibly conflicted - even more so than he did in The Force Awakens. He hesitates before pulling the trigger in the Leia scene, smashes his helmet against the wall, and the very opening shot is of him stood, arms crossed, seemingly pondering his place in the world.
And then it looks like he offers to help Rey, if we assume the editing isn't misleading. Does this mean he’s about to head down a Darth Vader-esque path of redemption, disobeying his master - Snoke - leading to him joining forces with Rey?
There’s a shot earlier in the trailer of Kylo picking a lightsaber off the floor while surrounded by Snoke’s Elite Praetorian Guards. Is this the moment he lashes out at his master, his internal conflict between the light and the dark finally proving too much?
We barely see Kylo wearing his mask in the trailer, either. If that mask symbolises the dark and his real face symbolises the light, then it looks like he might not be the bad guy for much longer.
