Star Wars: The Last Jedi - Every Deleted Scene Ranked From Worst To Best

2. Luke Has A Moment

For the majority of The Last Jedi's runtime, Luke is grumpy, bad-tempered, and, well, a bit of a d*ck. Keeping this "moment" in the finished movie and showing his more vulnerable side would have gone a long way toward making him feel more likeable.

Plus, in the final cut, Luke doesn't get to react to Han's death. Sure, he asks Chewie where Han is, but he doesn't get a full, heartfelt, emotional reaction to the death of his best friend.

This is that moment. This would've been great in the movie (and would've been smart to include - Luke may want to be alone, but he still has feelings) and it's a shame to see it land on the cutting room floor.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
