Star Wars: What Happened To EVERY Jedi That Survived Order 66

Obi-Wan Kenobi was a Jedi Master during the Clone Wars and the Master of Anakin Skywalker. With Yoda, his is the most recognisable Jedi survival story of them all.

When Order 66 was executed, Obi-Wan was on Utapau, having just killed General Grievous. After a brief chat with Clone Commander Cody, Obi-Wan set out to return to the Council about his success, but Cody had his men fire on him. Managing to escape a fate many didn't, he met up with Yoda and plotted how best to proceed. With Yoda, he discovered that Palpatine was the true Dark Lord and that Anakin had become Darth Vader.

Obi-Wan travelled to Mustafar and confronted his old friend, and in the following duel Vader was defeated and left to burn.

Unfortunately, Vader did not die, and became Vader in all his armoured glory. Obi-Wan took Anakin's son, Luke, to Luke's Uncle Owen on Tatooine, where he too stayed so he could protect him. He believed Luke would grow up to end the Empire.

When Luke was old enough, Obi-Wan began to train him and helped him take on the Empire. During this time, Obi-Wan came face-to-face with Vader once more, and died giving his new apprentice the chance to escape.

What he got up to between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope will be explored in his upcoming show, finally giving us a chance to see what he dealt with in order to keep Luke safe, and he learned to keep his identity as a Force-ghost.

Aidan Whatman hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
