Stargate SG-1 Cast: Where Are They Now?

8. Beau Bridges

Stargate General Landry
MGM

Joining Stargate SG-1 in season nine, replacing Jack O'Neill, Beau Bridges played General Hank Landry, the new commander of the SGC. He was sometimes stricter than his forebears, yet he had a command style that got the job done.

Bridges has a long and distinguished career, coming from one of Hollywood's acting dynasties. He is the brother of Jeff Bridges and the son of Lloyd Bridges. He is also a veteran, and he was honoured (along with his brother and, posthumously, his father) with the United States Navy Medal in 2011.

He recently appeared in the final season of Homeland, and is an accomplished voice actor, having won awards for his reading of Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth.

Bridges continues to act, with roles in Messiah and Robbie in 2020.
