7. Claudia Black

Claudia Black is an Australian actress who joined Stargate SG-1 in the role of Vala Mal Doran, initially as a guest spot, then eventually becoming and recurring and finally starring role. She had previously gained recognition for her role in Farscape, alongside fellow Stargate actor Ben Browder.

She was brought in to replace Carter when Amanda Tapping took maternity leave at the beginning of the show's ninth season, during which time the fans reacted very positively to her. She has since gone on to appear in both Stargate wrap-up films, The Ark of Truth and Continuum, and continued to act ever since.

While she has moved from appearing on screen to voice acting, she has appeared in both Rick and Morty and Final Space, though she has been most prolific for her work in video games - notably Uncharted, Gears of War and Dragon Age: Inquisition.
