Suicide Squad: 10 Major New Plot Hints From The Blitz Trailer

6. Batman Saves Harley Quinn

To my utter delight, it looks as though Suicide Squad is going to feature a lot more of Ben Affleck's Batman than those initial trailers revealed.

The Blitz trailer shines a welcomed light on a set-piece which appears to show Batman diving into the water - with a nifty breathing mask attached to his face, no less - in order to rescue Harley Quinn from a watery grave. This is backed up by a later shot which sees the Caped Crusader actually holding Quinn in his arms, though it isn't clear at which point of the story said event will take place.

The timeline of Suicide Squad is perhaps its most tricksy element, in fact; right now, it's tough to decipher when, exactly, key events are taking place, and which scenes are actually part of flashback sequences.

My most likely guess at what's happening here, though? The Joker and Harley crash their car into a river after being chased by Batman, Batman dives in to save Harley (because he's still a superhero), the Joker flees, and Harley - left for dead and betrayed by her partner - learns to hate him.
