Within the Suicide Squad canon, there exist characters whose purpose seems solely to suffer. Probably the best example of this is Windfall, who has a backstory that consists of her life being slowly and cruelly ruined.

As though Windfall’s backstory alone wasn’t tragic enough, she also gets one of the saddest – and one of the most brutal – deaths in the in the entire series.

Continuing an almost concerning trend of having members melted by acid, Windfall dies attempting to protect the team from an onslaught of deadly chemicals. Where were said chemicals coming from? Oh, just the toxic vomit of a monster made out of poisonous materials – in a totally normal and not at all incredibly unusual death sequence.

On the plus side, the writers did manage to make an intimidating figure out of a guy who vomits a lot, which is an achievement in and of itself.
