Suicide Squad: 25 Biggest Questions Left By The Dumbest DCEU Movie Yet

8. How Can Killer Croc Breathe Underwater?

In a smart move for a movie that needs some basis in the real world, Suicide Squad went with the more grounded version of Killer Croc (as grounded as this character can be); he's a regular human with a rare genetic disorder that alters his physical appearance, and has become a cannibalistic monster as a result of the social exclusion this caused.

Although this toning down does pose some issues; later on in the movie Croc goes swimming underwater and the implication is he's able to breathe there, but how does slight skin problems propagate that? There's a big difference between looking like something and gaining key physical characteristics of that thing.

It's almost like the script was written before Ayer considered the logistics of realising what was in it. Funny that.
